Illustration Friday - Toy
I find that the pieces I have the most fun with are usually inspired by things I'm familiar with. This one is inspired by our cat, Midnight. When we adopted her, her name was Spitfire because she liked to jump on this elderly lady's beehive hairdo. She still has a hair fetish, but thankfully she's doesn't jump on heads anymore. My kids liked the oh-so-original pet name of "Midnight" so she was rechristened and calmed down quite a bit after that and she grew up and became a plump housecat. The end. :)

Cute one, Kathy....Midnight sounds like a great character for childrens stories. I bet you have lots of adventures she could get into or already has. One of these days I will try to illustrate one of my children's poems. It sounds like something fun to do.
She's so cute and I love the movement you've captured!x
This is great Kathy! Perfect pose! Our cat looks just like this and acts just like this:o). Thanks for the great post!
Your work is just so carefree and light! Wonderful!
