I ended up with three versions of "Entangled" this week.
The first one I almost trashed but it ended up being a learning experience. I added the blue background and what I thought was a permanent black pen for the yarn turned out to not be and I went back in with white goache and I was satisfied with the result.

Then I redid it and liked my second version better.
And then I mistakenly scanned it in black and white and I think this one is

my favorite maybe because I don't usually work monochromatically. A fun afternoon of painting.

Kathy, it's a lovely image -- and I like the 2nd one best too (tho they are all wonderful, really). Funny, we both gravitated to the red ball of yarn. Love this post of yours!
All are very nice.
Hello Kathy, I think you've painted such a lovely, tangled but very happy kitty kat! (^_^)
so cute and lovely c:
Very nice Kathy, I actually like the black and white one the best... it looks so artsy! You are very talented.
I have a cat and a beagle. The two become entangled often. Beagle thinks it is a person, cat thinks it is a beagle. Beautiful rendering
Beautifully illustrated, Kathy!! Well done.
effortlessly beautiful.. great watercolor technique!
