White rose

Here's another rose art card (2.5 x 3.5). I used a limited palette of rose madder, cobalt blue and new gamboge to paint the rose with a little alizarin crimson and ultramarine blue to paint the very dark crevices. The background is mostly sap green with a little burnt umber and winsor green and a wash of cobalt blue. This Ebay auction is starting at .99 with no reserve.

Your rose paintings are just lovely Kathy - I find them so difficult to get right - as are your children, cats and portraits. Thanks for your visit to my blog!
