I started using some of my regular colors to paint this daffodil and then decided to switch to quinacridone gold and winsor blue. You can really see the contrast of these colors in the shadow on the left petals. It was kind of fun to experiment. I'm still searching for the perfect yellow shadow colors. ;) To bid on Ebay, click here.

Beautiful color combination, Kathy! Looks like daffodils are a favorite subject for you....doing ACEOs too, I see. (how can you paint that small?!) Great portrait wip you posted also. I forgot you're in Omaha..."hi" to Norm Waitt and Mr. Buffett!
