This is a 10 x 10 in. square painting of my cat, Juliet, resting on a kitchen chair. She's the subject of quite of few of my paintings because she loves to model ;). This was a fun painting because I enjoy painting her and it came together pretty easily. Also, using some pre-mixed grays and yellows really helped in the mixing department. Part of the top and bottom are cut off because of my scanner. Click here to bid.

Portrait of a Gentleman
Boy, did I need to paint this today, something just for myself without any expectations. I haven't played on Wetcanvas for a long time but I checked the All Media Art Events Forum today and one of my friends in that forum was hosting this week's all media event. This is her stepdad. I haven't done a portrait in a couple of weeks. I took my time drawing this one before I started painting (about an hour). I lost track of time after a while but I've got 3 1/2 - 4 hours into it.

Illustration Friday 12/28/07
I am soooo late with this IF piece but I figured I'd post it anyway since I finished it before the next one. ;) This week's topic is "Soar". My idea for this painting was a bright balloon and a neutral landscape so that the focus would be on the balloon.
