Katey was one of the first portraits that I painted back in 1997 when I was getting back into painting. I painted the first picture for her grandma and her mother asked me to paint this again for her. It's encouraging to compare them and see how much I've learned since I first painted it.

Interesting exercise. Of course the 2006 version is much improved by the focus on the two faces, and you've come a long way with control and technique. Good job!
